How the calibration is actually built.
Every map is developed against data from your car. What follows is the reasoning behind that, not a list of promises about output.

The first map is deliberately conservative
Power is added after your logs confirm the car is healthy. Boost target against actual, air-fuel ratio, ignition timing and knock activity all have to read clean before the calibration is pushed further.

Every file is built for your hardware
Stock turbo, hybrid and single-turbo builds each get their own calibration path, matched to the fuel you actually run. Nothing is served from a shelf of pre-made files.

VANOS and Valvetronic are part of the work
Cam phasing and valve lift are calibrated alongside boost and fuelling, which is where throttle response and midrange delivery are won on these engines.

Revisions are the process, not an upsell
Logs come back, the calibration is adjusted, and the loop repeats until the car is on target. That same habit of documenting what the data actually shows is how the calibration stays honest.

Log and send back
Full-throttle pulls and part-throttle data captured on our channel list, then sent over for review.
Review and revise
We read the logs, adjust the calibration and repeat until the car is running clean and on target.

“Was running a generic Stage 2 OTS map that pulled negative timing on cylinder 4 during back-to-back third gear pulls once the weather warmed up. Sent my first round of CSV logs to Synergy and had a revised map back the next day. He showed me where the load targets were spiking on the canned file and reworked the boost vectoring to clean up the torque curve. Three revisions in, the mid-range is smoother and timing holds across all six cylinders to redline. Rolling onto the throttle on corner exit doesn't feel twitchy the way it did before. The custom file was a real improvement over the off-the-shelf flash.”

“Came off an off-the-shelf E30 map that felt aggressive and hard to predict on track. The old setup had throttle response like an on/off switch, so modulating partial throttle on the way out of an apex was a pain. Synergy reworked the pedal mapping and got the ethanol scaling right so the fuel trims stayed even under load. The log review was the useful part. We ran four revisions checking that HPFP pressure stayed stable up top and that boost held without throttle closures. Corner exit is more predictable now and oil temps sit lower through a 20 minute session.”

Common questions.
- What BMW platforms do you calibrate?
- We support N13, N20, N54, N55E, N55F, S55, B58, B58G (Gen 2), S58, and S63/S63TU platforms. Each has dedicated tune paths for stock turbo, hybrid turbo, single turbo, and flex-fuel configurations.
- Is the entire process remote?
- Yes. The full process is remote and works worldwide. You flash a base calibration using your supported software, capture data logs on your car, and send them back. We review, revise, and repeat until the calibration is clean.
- What tuning software do you work with?
- We support MHD, bootmod3, and other supported OBD flash tools depending on the platform. Software compatibility is confirmed when you submit your quote.
- Do you also tune the transmission (TCU)?
- Yes. TCU calibration is available for ZF 8HP and DCT platforms where software support exists. Transmission tuning raises torque limits and sharpens shift behavior to match the ECU calibration.
- How many revisions are included?
- Revisions are part of the process, not an upsell. We read your logs and send updates until the calibration is clean and on target. Most builds are dialed in within a few log rounds.
